Almost seven hours on my bike today
July 3rd, 2009Together with Bendik and two of his colleagues we did went with our bikes the track to Raumerrittet http://www.raumerrittet.no/. I spent 6 hours and 45 minutes out today from when I left home until I was back. Very varm today so I'm very tired now.
Here we stopped to take a bath nearby Hakkim

Craft MTB 6 dagers
July 3rd, 2009On Saturday I waited at the finishing line for Espen to finish the Craft MTB 6 days bicycle competition, http://www.mtb6dagers.no/. He started together with Pål Andre, who unfortunately had to retire on the fifth day, Friday, due to a bad knee.
Here he has just passed the finishing line

And here you can see how tanned / dirty you get after 750 km on bike

Finally back in business
June 24th, 2009So far this week I've spent about 7 hours bicycle riding, including 1 hour of spinning and I feel good. May was bad because of me being ill, together with Anders and Elin being ill leaving me with no training what so ever, but now I'm back in business again, and this week has started out very, very good.
Today me and Kjetil went with our mountain bikes for about 2 1/2 hours. Here you see Kjetil taking a bath at Aurevatn.

I had to overtake a Porsche
June 24th, 2009On my way to Vestreng on Sunday the speed limit was decreased to 50 km/h due to road maintenance and danger of rocks flying all around. That was particularly bad for the Porsche costing lots and lots of money, so I guess he drove in about 10 km/h...so I had to overtake him...

Wedding last Saturday
June 24th, 2009Last Saturday we where invited to Ingvild and Hans Petters wedding. The ceremony was at Oslo Hospital Kirke and the dinner was at Kjelsås. To get there they had reserved a tram, so the picture is from the ride with the tram, and the bride and the groom.

What is meat?
June 23rd, 2009If you know how to read Norwegian, spend some time here reading about women discussing "What is meat?"

At Eidsvollbyningen
June 19th, 2009Me and Elin went to meet Siri who had stuff to our wedding. She came from Hamar and we came from Vestreng, so we meet at Eidsvollbygningen
For Norwegians it is one of the most important national symbols, inextricably tied to the constitution, independence and the dramatic events of 1814, which are celebrated on the 17th of May every year. This is why Eidsvollsbygningen became Norway’s first national monument in 1837

She had not been there, and I must admit neither have I, or I've have cycled passed it, but not actually been there.

AC/DC in concert
June 16th, 2009Me, Loy, Anders, Bendik and Simen, who disappeared when he went off to buy beer, was at Valle Hovin yesterday when AC/DC played. They play simple and straightforward rock'n roll, just what you expect when going on a concert with them. I thought it was cool to see them live, but I must admit that I was a bit disappointed, the reason for this being to long breaks between each song. Almost between every song there was a break for about 30 seconds without any sound at all. I would have wanted a much tighter set, with the current song just flowing into the next one. So, seeing and hearing AC/DC --> Cool. The "Black Ice"-show, uncool!
Praise the lowrider
June 16th, 2009Praise the lowrider. Saw this car yesterday close to Carl Berner here in Oslo. Ok, I'm pretty sure it does not ride as low as this, but it was cool when parked :-)

"Kampen om ekteskapet og barnet" - Nina Karin Monsen
June 11th, 2009My latest book "Kampen om ekteskapet og barnet" by Nina Karin Monsen. I had to understand what all the fuzz was about. She won the The Freedom of Expression Prize, and due to this there was a lot of noise from the especially The Norwegian LGBT Association. This was because of her getting the prize based on opinions she has expressed in her book.
I do not want to go into whether or not I agree with her here on my blog, but what I want to say is that in my opinion the book really sucks. I could not agree more with this review "Prisbelønnet usaklighet".
