Yesterday S.A.T.S had a two hour "Spinning Marathon", so I expanded it a bit by attending the 45 minute session in the morning, then spinning alone for one and a half hour, and then 2 hours together with the S.A.T.S-team again.
I know by experience that I get worn out by riding on my bike for 4 and a half hour, but on the spinning bike was a bit different. There are no downhills where I can get some rest, but the worst thing is that you spend the hours in the same position. I guess that was what made my back really stiff.
Me, a bit sweaty after nearly two hours...
Have been out with my mountain bike today, a very nice day, I guess the temperature is just above freezing but I have plenty of clothes. The sun was shining and all in all very nice. Ended up at Ellingsrud, doing some track riding. Since I'm not hardcore I do not know if it was a single track, or a double track, or maybe a triple track.
But, after about one hour this happened, and I had to return back home. It is the second time with my front wheel that one of the spokes snaps. Maybe I need to buy a new and better wheel...
Two days ago I pasted the 4000K limit with 10K's. Most of it spent on my racing bike, but strangely enough I've managed to do 1300K on my mountain bike as well. I had hoped to get 5000, but due to two weeks of sickness when we came from Croatia I missed about 400-500 I would guess.
But, not a problem I have other things to waste my time with, try this Sushi Go Round game...stressed me for sure!! http://www.miniclip.com/games/sushi-go-round/en/
Today I was supposed to be found on the starting line of Oslo Sykkelfestival http://www.oslosykkelfestival.no. I got up in the morning just to realize that the weather had changed from yesterday, today it was +5 degrees and rain. I dressed the same as a couple of weeks ago when I did Femsjøen Rundt, and thought it would be okay, but maybe a bit cold. I got dressed and got on my bike, ready to go downtown to the starting line. Passing Tveita I had to use my breaks, high speed did not do any good when being so cold as I was. Hoping I would get warmer when passing Valle Hovin, but no, and finally when I came to Tøyen I turned around. I did not want to spend 3 more hours on my bike, so after 30 minutes outside I returned back home. Elin was surprised, but glad to see me :-) So, warmer clothes need to be packed out, and hopefully, I will attend Oslo Sykkelfestival next year...
A bit of malfunction yesterday when out bike cycling. Was supposed to go on a ride with Petter, together with the rest of Rye, but take a closer look at the picture - my chain ring should be mounted on my bike, not be in my hand!!
Today I struggled trying to decide what to do, go out with my MTB, or my racer bike, or lift weights, so after hours of trying to make a decision I ended up running. I have not done an hour of running in more than two years due to my injury after running 5 marathons in one year. My legs are feeling a bit sore, but nothing extraordinary taken in consideration that it is two years...
I ran around Lutvann, took me an hour...it's good to be back! (Hopefully)
We went out to Nesodden earlier today and I took my bicycle so I could use it to get back home. Great plan, had it just not been for the rain. About 30 minutes before I started it started raining cats and dogs. I must admit that I'm looking forward to our vacation - two weeks without my bicycle. Have spent almost 15 hours this week riding either my MTB or my road bike, its fun :-)
Espen and I spent a bit more than 5 hours on our bicycles cycling all the way around Øyern today. All in all almost 150 kilometers. I'm a bit tired right now, and Espens knee is hurting.
We passed Solbergfoss power station where we stopped for five minutes http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solbergfoss_kraftverk
We went to visit Pia and Arve yesterday and stayed there for one night. I brought my bike so today I went bicycle riding home from Tønsberg. Due to the road work in the tunnels on the highway, E18, I did not want to cycle along the road from Holmestrand with its heavy traffic. So instead I cycled to Horten, took the ferry to Moss and went along the road passing Elvestad, Enebakk and Rælingen. All in all 115 kilometers, passing three county's: Vestfold, Østfold and Akershus.
Somewhere between Ringvold and Elvestad I also spotted an elk only 10 meters from the road. It ignored me totally, instead it stood there eating.
...only crappy clothes. Did Lillehammer - Oslo yesterday, also know as Lille Styrkeprøven http://www.styrkeproven.no. Started with Sportsklubben Rye and had no problem to hang in there all the way to Minnesund. Then I really had to take a piss, so I was not able to catch them up, but that did not matter because then I had to really struggle to keep the pace. Up until then it was not hard, just wet - wet - wet, but from Minnesund I felt the hla http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_leukocyte_antigen flooding in my legs. I passed the finishing line at the time of 5.25 - quite happy with that one. There results are available here http://results.ultimate.dk/live/front/index.php?e=422&t=www&l=no
And my car passed 60.000 kilometers yesterday when Elin was on sightseeing at Hedmark, Hurdal and Jessheim :-)
