{"id":2424,"date":"2008-09-24T09:01:37","date_gmt":"2008-09-24T09:01:37","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2026-04-18T22:57:19","modified_gmt":"2026-04-18T22:57:19","slug":"i-am-certified-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hellem.org\/wblog\/?p=2424","title":{"rendered":"I am certified"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today I took the test &#8220;Test 142: XML 1.1 and Related Technologies&#8221; which have the following test objectives http:\/\/www-03.ibm.com\/certify\/tests\/obj142.shtml They should really do something with this test, all the other ones I&#8217;ve taken have made me able to say that I&#8217;m for instance &#8220;IBM Certified Portal Developer&#8221;, but this one&#8230;not possible.<\/p>\n<p>Passed it with a score of 86%, quite happy with that considering the fact that only two days ago when doing the sample test from Prometric I only managed 63% (needed 61% to pass&#8230;)<\/p>\n<p>Anyhow, happy to have passed it, found the XML-stuff quite hard since it is a whole new way of thinking compared to for instance my Java programming certifications. And also a huge set of new abbreviations to learn: XML, XSL, XSLT, JAXB, SAX, DOM, DOM2, XSLT-FO, XPATH and the list just keeps on. I prepared by taking the class &#8220;Introduction to XML and Related Technologies&#8221;, following the tutorials at W3Schools, using sample tests from both Actualtests and Prometric and finally creating a html-presentation of our cd collection by using XML and XSL.
