Good for me that I was not about to take a swim! Must admit that I find the amount of jellyfish a bit scary, scientist are having trouble explaining the amount of jellyfishes invading our fjords this and previous years. But the most reasonable explanation involves overfishing as the reason for it, less fish, more jellyfish.

“Two-thirds of Europe’s fish stocks are heavily overfished”
International Council for the Exploration of the Seas, Annual fish stock status reports

This, and other things like the bee colony collapse disorder makes me fear where the future. Not so much for my own sake, I do only have, give or take a few, 40 more years to walk (cycle) on this earth, but my two boys have the double of that (I hope). So what challenges they will have to struggle with in their future is something I do spend some time worrying about. When I grew up we did fear the atomic bomb, but that was simpler. Either the war started, or it did not, and luckily it did not. Climate changes (for whatever reason), overfishing, pollution of the earth, etc, etc…all these things are happening, they cannot be avoided, so I feel that I only can cross my fingers and hope for the best…

But, enough of that, when I started pedaling again a guy passed me riding a bike equipped with an electrical support engine. He went in a ridiculously high speed compared to the cadence. Must admit that I do have some trouble getting the point, why spend so much money on a bike with a crappy engine, why not instead then by a scooter? OR a fancy bike powered by you only, and get the exercise as a bonus???

On my way to work today I stopped down by the harbor to take a picture of a oncoming ship.
