The plan today was to join Lille40 (Lillehammer – Oslo 40 km/h average), but since I had misplaced my bike pump I was about 30 seconds to late to be able to join them. I saw they started out from Hydro just when I got on top of the hill, but I was to far away from them to shout, and when I got to the next roundabout I turned left where they had turned right. So I ended up going by myself to Roa and then to Maura, the same route as a couple of weeks ago. 140 kilometers all in all in about 5 hours, must admit that my legs was still hurting after Enebakk Rundt on thursday.
On my way over the hill between Roa and Maura this sign was placed on the road. Luckily the water had withdrawn from the road so no need for me to turn around. I read this article yesterday so I knew that there would be a slight chance for it…

My team and I managed to do Enebakk Rundt almost as fast as we had hoped for. 2.05.44 is the official time for our team, 2.04 was our goal, but if we give us some slack due to the weather I would say that we managed!

Hei og takk
Den er god, da bekrefter jeg
1. JA, jeg er med på 15-timer’n.
Har i utgangspunktet skrevet meg på 17-timer’n, melder fra til Gunnar at jeg
bytter lag. Biter tenna sammen og satser hardt på at dette skal gå. 🙂
….
So now I’m part of the team with the ambition of finishing Den Store Styrkeprøven in less than 15-hours if good conditions. Doh!

Today we started out on the same route as yesterday, but when at Roa we headed over the mountain to Maura, then back to Skedsmokorset, via Gjelleråsen and back home. All in all a bit more than 140K. A nice day, with sunshine and all.
Afterwards Espen came to visit us and we washed our bikes.
Yesterday I joined Lille 40 (Lillehammer – Oslo 40 km/h average) on their training. I started from home and meet them at Gjelleråsen. We went back and forth to Roa in Nittedal. A total of 110 kilometers, it was good weather as well, so the five of us had a very nice ride.
Both my father, my mother and Snypp has commented on the picture of me from last Sunday. I used my cell phone as a camera, and the quality is not very good. But Elin took a picture of me when I came home with our new camera. If they thought the first picture was horrible, take a look at this one 🙂

Third outdoor training session with Rye this year. We meet at Hvervenbukta, started from there and went down to Son and back again. Cold, but ok weather until we came to Son where the rain started. With only about 4 celsius it became quite soon quite cold…but, what does not kill you only makes you stronger.

The route

On Tuesday I was about to participated on the first outdoor training session with Rye (http://www.sportsklubbenrye.no). I lasted only five kilometers before one of the spokes on my front wheel snapped and I had to return home. So on Wednesday I went down to http://www.fast-bikes.no with my bike so that they could fix it. Got kinda expensive as well, since I bought a new wheelset Mavic Ksyrium Elite http://www.mavic.com/road/products/Ksyrium-Elite.995153.aspx I guess I will go waaaaay much faster now 🙂
I’ve also put my name on the helmet. This is needed when we have a pace line chain, when I’m the last one in the slow chain the man in the fast chain will shout out my name letting me know that I must switch chain and follow his rear wheel. Since we are so many it is a neat trick to have the name on the helmet.

I took out my MTB on Saturday for this years second ride. The weather was nice and I wanted to see places I’ve never seen before, so first I took a quick stop at Simen to say hello before I went to Ulvøya, Ormøya and Malmøya. I must say I was really impressed, it is very, very nice on all three islands.

The first picture is taken on the outside of Malmøya, Maløykalven on the right hand side. The second one on the same place, but towards Oslo, and the last one shows approximately the route I followed.
