Maybe not meant for running

Out running today, a bit wet I must say and also a _bit_ mud. Our neighbors has done their share of forestry work as well, pretty wet conditions which again has caused the forest road to be just a sea of mud. All up to my knees sometimes when trying to run there, needs a warm summer day or two to dry up…

Powder

Last Friday out running together with my neighbors dog, Piper. A lot of snow powder, realizing that times has changed, ten years ago I would have cried for not being able to ski in those conditions, now…well, do not have the time to bother

Starting off with good intentions

Starting the new year with good intentions, had a run yesterday. Quite enjoyable, but only thanks to my pair of icebugs (fear no evil, I get nothing in return for linking to them 🙂 ). A lot of ice, both on- and offroad, but using the icebugs makes it similar to running on a hot summer day.

Commuting to work using my bike

Nice weather and plenty of time, got up early and headed for work on my bike. When at Gan I decided to go where I never had been before. Assuming that there should be gravel roads/tracks/single tracks between Gan and Hvalstjern I turned right and headed of into the woods. As usual, at some point I should have turned right but I did not, therefore the gravel road which shrunk into a single track later shrunk into almost no track, see pictures below. But no problem due to the dry conditions.

Must explore the tracks there at a later point.

All in all a very good morning, 56 kilometers and almost two and a half hour on the bike, like everyday should have been (but can’t)

Total Body Crossramp to Tom Petty

Going to work really early this week, spending the first hour in the gym. Today I did not feel for the spinning cycle so I decided to try the “Total body crossramp”-thing. Strange kinda device, but it does not give me pain in the legs so once in a while it can be ok. Anyhow, spent the time listening to the new album Hypnotic Eye by Tom Petty. A bit to easy listening while doing exercise, but I might be listening to it several times.

Spinning to Braid – No Coast

Picked randomly from the rock category in Wimp solely based on the length of the album fitting the time I had available. Did I enjoy it? Somewhat like easy listening, will not add it to my list of favorite albums.

Krepserittet 2014

On the 15’th of June me and Espen participated in Krepserittet . Nice weather and a lot of single track made this a very fun competition. Also we get lunch when finished. Espen enjoying the lunch, he had a good day on the bike.

My day was bad, I have had a cold for about a week upfront, so I should really just stayed at home, but I did not. Anyhow, I got to finish the two rounds and as a bonus I got to work on my bikers tan.

Dalslands X-Country 2014

Yesterday Espen and I with Roy as the serviceman headed for Bengtsfors to participate in Dalslands X-Country. 60 km of mostly gravel roads, some single tracks but not very technical. Fun to compete again, and extra fun since we participated as a team – ending up as #7 of 23 teams, not to bad for two fathers of young children.

And when heading home stopping at Töcksfors to eat a burger and get some b vitamins.

Spinning to Fidlar

Yesterday, spinning to Fidlar and their album Fidlar.

FIDLAR is a skate punk/garage punk band from Los Angeles California. currently signed to Mom + Pop Music in the US, Wichita Recordings in the UK and Dine Alone Records in Canada. Wikipedia

Well worth listening to!!
