Looking for setlists?

Preparing for the Green Day concert in two weeks, what is better than looking at the set list from their recent concerts? Found this great site, gives me all I need http://www.setlist.fm/search?query=green+day Really like the integration with Youtube, click on the first song and it plays through all songs in the list.

AC/DC in concert

Me, Loy, Anders, Bendik and Simen, who disappeared when he went off to buy beer, was at Valle Hovin yesterday when AC/DC played. They play simple and straightforward rock’n roll, just what you expect when going on a concert with them. I thought it was cool to see them live, but I must admit that I was a bit disappointed, the reason for this being to long breaks between each song. Almost between every song there was a break for about 30 seconds without any sound at all. I would have wanted a much tighter set, with the current song just flowing into the next one. So, seeing and hearing AC/DC –> Cool. The “Black Ice”-show, uncool!

Ghost Dog in concert

Yesterday Petter and I went to see Ghost Dog in concert. I’ve previous blogged that I really enjoy their music and that is still true, but yesterdays concert was a bit of a disappointment. For some reason I don’t think Ivan, the vocalist, did not use his full potential. Whether he was drunk or just had a bad day I’m actually not sure, but for some reason I think he could have been singing better than he did. But, still, it was a good concert…

Spotify

Must admit Spotify impressed me just now. I read about Jahn Teigen at norskmusikk.org, and with Spotify running I wanted to listen to some of his music. I already have “En Dags Pause” in my cd collection, but I wanted to listen to some of his really old stuff – Popol Vuh, or Popol Ace (they had to change their name). And to my surprise, Spotify does have Popol Ace, so if you have Spotify, just click on the following link http://open.spotify.com/track/3rRVXVbzvsI1JDOSkPZkd1

Concert with Eva Kristine Bjerga Haugen together with Espen Eriksen Trio

This evening Elin and I went to a concert with Eva Kristine Bjerga Haugen and Espen Eriksen Trio, playing support for someone else (we went home before they started playing) http://www.nasjonaljazzscene.no/pa-plakaten/neil-cowley-trio-plateslipp. To thoose of you who know my taste of music, I have not turned into a jazz-man, but when Lars Tormod play I listen to jazz 🙂

rblog – Connecting people once again

My blog has once again connected people like it has two times before, only this time I was a part in it. Thomas from Switzerland was trying to get hold of a copy of the soundtrack from Izzat, but he realized that it was not as easy as he had hoped for. No one of the online music stores who had Izzat did not deliver outside of the Nordic countries. Instead, I ordered it for him together with a copy of Gluecifer – Kings of Rock, Best of and Rarities. Instead of money in return for the job I wrote to Thomas that he should in return send me some music from Switzerland, and so he did. He sent me The Monsters “I see dead people” and also an ep of his own band The Strapones http://thestrapones.com/. Cool music, both bands reminds me of the Norwegian band The Mormones

No one can claim that blogging is a waste of time! 🙂
