Tog – Delillos

…Selvfølgelig kan det være kjedelig
Å sitte stille i timevis
Men nå som jeg har blitt en voksen mann
Føles lenger ikke turen så lang…

…wonder why 🙂

Heading north together with Sigurd and Sverre

Kite running in late November

Quite sure that the weather today must have been at least 20 degrees warmer today than exactly one year ago. Picture taken at Bjørkelangen earlier today, my son Anders together with two friends running out on the field trying to chase down the kite. Weather was really nice, 13 celsius. Pretty strong wind, but good for kiting.

Tromsø – Senja – Tromsø: Høstøl, anchovy, vodka and more

Spending some days up north, came here on Friday afternoon. Spent the evening at my cousins Andre’s place, enjoying the work of his employer Mack – for example Høstøl

Early Saturday morning I headed to Senja to visit my grandmother, and then back to Tromsø yesterday – Sunday, to enjoy the evening Russian style: Toast with anchovy and cucumber with vodka on the side.

Then this morning, still in Tromsø, seeing snow for the first time this winter.

Monty Python’s Holy (gr)ail

Had to try it out. Opened the bottle and had a taste, did not enjoy it, but must admit that after a while it tasted better. Maybe it is like wine, it need to “rest” before drinking…
Bought it at ICA Linderud Senter, seen it elsewhere. Read about the aile here http://www.blacksheepbrewery.com/beers/holy_grail_bottled_beer/

Banana cake and the Waffle day

Yesterday Elin had her birthday and I made a banana cake. Got thumbs up by my parents-in-law, even Elin who initially said that she did not like banana cake enjoyed it.

And today on the 25’th of March it is the Waffle day here in Norway (and many other countries as well) – read more about waffles at Wikipedia, much I did not know. I have celebrated the day making oat waffles. Elin is skeptic, but she have not tasted them yet.
