My latest book – "Miraklet ved Litza" by Alf R. Jacobsen

Yet another book by what is, according to Elin, my favorite writer Alf R. Jacobsen about the first defeat on the Eastern Front for the Axis Powers. In 1941 the prepared the Operation Silver Fox planning to capture Murmansk, but this failed and turned into their first defeat on the new front.

Really enjoyed the book, especially the afterword by Sverre Diesen which made me understand the overall picture of all the battle details and at the end why the Germans did fail.

My latest book – "Angrep fra alle kanter" Tore Renberg

Now I really appriciate the years I lived in Sandnes working as an officer in the army driving around with the army trucks in Sandnes, Stavanger and the areas surrouding those two cities. I got to know my way around pretty well, and that is a great advantage when reading both “Angrep fra alle kanter” and the first book “Vi sees i morgen”. This book also fun to read, but not as good as the first one if you ask me. Still, I guesss this one will become a movie as well.

My latest book – Hel ved by Lars Mytting

Hel ved (“Solid Wood”)

Lars Myttings non-fiction book Hel ved («Solid wood») is one of the greatest publishing successes in Scandinavia ever. It is a «practical-lyrical» guide on the use and lore of firewood, based on Norwegian traditions and our modern science on stoves and renewable energy.

I did try today to make fire from the top as described in the book and I broke the record of getting the fireplace hot as h$#.
