Hayseed in concert

Stumbeled by their webpage. Kjetil, Elin, Espen and me went to their concert when El Caco was all sold out…good concert, well worth the 60 kr we paid to see them ๐Ÿ™‚ http://www.hayseed.no/. Kjetil by the way left for John’s after a while, he did not like the music, but in a way he is like Kent: What I have not heard, I don’t like! ๐Ÿ™‚

Eisenhower’s Farewell Address to the Nation

A wise man once said:

…In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist…

…and the wise man was former President Eisenhower. I guess he had his bad sides he as all others, but the statement above was indeed remarkable foreseen. To bad that today the influence of the military-industrial complex is just there Eisenhower did not want it to be. Seems to me that Senator John McCain (R) http://mccain.senate.gov/ is one of the few republicans able to be as wise as needed. Should have been more like him, and fewer like Dick Cheney http://www.whitehouse.gov/vicepresident, who by the way owe the military industry a lot for his wealthy bank account.

2004 Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM AMG

The most impressing car which I saw when in Stuttgart was without doubt the 2004 Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM AMG. We saw one SLR, a Maybach, several E500, E55, C55, S55 and further on, but no one comes close to the CLK DTM AMG. The reason for that is that the possibility for someone in fact buying this car in Norway is very limited. There is one SLR, Petter Stordalen is a real playboy with a lot of money, but for you to buy the CLK DTM AMG you really have to be a enthusiast, not just a playboy. The spec for the car is as impressing as for the SLR, and the look is more extreme where the SLR has it’s beauty…read more about it at http://www.fast-autos.net/mercedes/mercedesclkdtmamg.html

Factory tours

From last Sunday until Wednesday I was in Stuttgart attending a two day meeting. But since I had some time to spend on Monday my colleague and I went on two factory tours. The first tour was at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Sindelfingen. Read more about it at this page on MB US’ site http://www.mbusa.com/brand/container.jsp?/edp/program/pickup/factory_tour_page.jsp&menu=2_1. The next one, and by the way the most interesting was at Zuffenhausen – the Porsche plant. Not because of the fact that is was Porsche, but mainly because the Porsche plant isn’t nearly that big, which gives you the opportunity to get much closer to the production line. Chef was supposed to marry a succubus

On todays episode of South Park chef almost married a succubus, a woman sent from hell to such out his life out. To find out more about this episode, read http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/GuidePageServlet/showid-344/epid-2450/. I did a search for succubus on the Internet, and discovered that the legend of the succubus is “true”…

…Well, the succubus is a demon from legend that supposedly preys on mortal men while he sleeps; a sexual vampire of sorts. The actual name has its origins from late Latin- succuba meaning prostitute, which in turn comes from medieval Latin sub cubaire meaning ‘that which lies beneath’. The male version is the incubus (from Latin- ‘that which lies above’). There are some sources who claim that the succubus and the incubus are one and the same creature who can change form at will to prey on mortals…

read it all at http://www.monster.gemsoft.co.uk/Iniquity/demonology.html, and then I learned something even more interesting as well, namely what the name of the band Incubus means…it’s the male version of the succubus…
