Today we have had help from Per, the carpenter they used when renovating Elins home. The door bell rang at 06.50 A.M!! God damn that’s early to start working, especially since we sat up late last night watching Magnolia. Anyhow, the doors are now mounted, and I just needed to go to Maxbo seven times!!

Today, or more correct – yesterday, Espen, Elin and me went to Eksismoa http://www.eksismoa.no, despite Anders Glende lack of acceptance, to watch banger racing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banger_racing. We had a lot of luck, it rained cats and dogs right until ten minutes before we arrived, after that it was no rain and a bit of sun. We also meet Bunæs there, and joined him and his friend. Elin loved it!!

In the film Magnolia it rains frogs at the end of the movie. I had to search the Internet and find out why – here is an explanation http://www.usingenglish.com/forum/ask-teacher/6315-idiom-raining-frogs.html.
Elins opinion was that this was mentioned in the bible, so I had to do a new search. So from this site “The secrets of Magnolia” http://kempa.com/articles/mag82/ I found
Exodus 8:2 in the bible reads: “And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs.” Supposedly there are over 100 occurances of the numbers 8 and 2 within the movie, foreshadowing the coming ‘storm’.
