I’ve done a small tweak to my skin. Ok, I’ve removed the links to those people who actually made my skin and the blog and so forth, but then again, it is still there, but as a comment in the code. But, what I’ve done is to link to people I know and their blogs. For now I’ve linked to Kent, my friend from the university college, Roy (or Loy) who I’ve spent three weeks with in the same car back in 2003 and at last Marius whom I know from work. See at the bottom of the page…
31.07: I forgot Hans Petter, so now I have added a link to his blog as well
Elins father, Anders, has bought a new combine harvester and since it is so big we needed to move the old spare part truck. It was a tricky project since the truck has no gear stick and … no breaks. The way to do it was to manually get in a gear, that is what he is doing on the first picture. By using the clutch we could get it to stop.

When out on the tarmac the truck started, to stop he had to drive it a bit out in the ditch. Due to the fact that the gear he had placed it in (it is very hard to know which gear you have without the stick) he was not able to get out of the ditch. So I had to push it up, then he steered down the road to the farm. Downhill it went…very fast…and the uphill, it stopped since he was not able to shift down. He had to back out on the field, therefore I had to tow him once again, hence the next picture.

At last, almost there. Now we only had to roll in to the garage…

I’ve once again successfully updated my blog, from 1.9.3 to 1.10.2. As always it went just smooth, thanks to Franqois Planque and all the others.
Got to try a some new types of beer this summer, they where:
Platan – got this one from our landlady at Korcula, Paulina. It is a Czheck beer. It might be that Platan is the brewery and that the actual beer is Jedenact http://www.pivo-platan.cz/index.php

Karlovacka – beer from Croatia http://www.karlovacko.hr/

Ozujsko – beer from Croatia http://www.ozujsko.com/ The best Croatian beer we thought…

Zlatorog – beer from Croatia http://www.zlatorog.hr/ There is a Stella behind the bottle as well, that one was Elins…

Bavaria – beer from Holland, really good, had not tried it before http://www.bavaria.nl/

Sarajevska 0% – the only beer without alcohol. This due to the fact that we had a day trip to Bosnia, so when served at a Muslim restaurant we do not get alcohol. But, the beer was quite ok… http://www.sarajevska-pivara.ba/

Read this article http://www.bt.dk/article/20070726/sport03/70726037/1039/a/ where a lot of Danish people supports Michael Rasmussen and feels sorry for him being thrown out of Radobank. But, as said in this article in VG http://www1.vg.no/sport/sykkel/tour-de-france-2007/artikkel.php?artid=154000 he does very little to actually prove that he was in Mexico. And as the Mexican embassy in Denmark said “it is quite easy to prove it, since you have to fill out some forms to enter the country”.
So Michale – the chicken – Rasmussen, please shut up right now or at least bring some hard evidence to the table, which by the way I assume you could not provide your team with, since they kicked you out – and if no hard evidence is available, please sell your bike, sell your cycling clothes, sell everything and start doing something else…because without evidence I hope that you are finished for good!!!
And by the way, saying that you have been tested negative for dope 15 times during the Tour De France does not prove that you are clean, you of all should know, that is why you have to provide WADA with your wear abouts at all time. And that is why the Danish Cycle Association have expelled you from their team, since you continue to break these rules.
Back from two weeks in Croatia. We have been to Dubrovnik, Split and Korcula. We have had a day trip to Mostar in Bosnia, we have sea paddled and been to the beach nearly every day…
Croatia was nice, and we saw very few signs of the war from a bit more then 10 years ago. But we visited a war photo exhibition, which reminded us about the war that had been, and also plenty others. Take a look at their website http://www.warphotoltd.com/
My homepage has also had two days of down time due to some domain hosting issues. It is now solved as you might have figured out since you are reading this. http://www.hostean.net, my web hotel fixed this in just a day.
Last book I’ve read, written by Tomm Kristiansen “Africa, en vakker dag”. Bought it as a follow up on the book about Kongo. It gives you a broad and good view of the many issues Africa are struggling with today (and before).

We went out to Nesodden earlier today and I took my bicycle so I could use it to get back home. Great plan, had it just not been for the rain. About 30 minutes before I started it started raining cats and dogs. I must admit that I’m looking forward to our vacation – two weeks without my bicycle. Have spent almost 15 hours this week riding either my MTB or my road bike, its fun 🙂
Espen and I spent a bit more than 5 hours on our bicycles cycling all the way around Øyern today. All in all almost 150 kilometers. I’m a bit tired right now, and Espens knee is hurting.
We passed Solbergfoss power station where we stopped for five minutes http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solbergfoss_kraftverk
