Yesterday I spent a couple of hours trimming the “Norwegian Spruce” hedge at Vestreng. As the top left picture shows it was clearly a need. The middle picture is me on top of the ladder. As the upper right picture shows the hedge is fairly wide, so my knees are hurting a bit today because of the stress the got when I leaned over to cut all the branches. Quite happy with the result. New set of wheels for my car
Had to buy a new set of wheels earlier this week when one of the old ones got broken when hitting a hole in the road. Original Ford wheels cost so much that buying completely new ones did not cost _to much_ more. Still kept it as 16″, and they where one of the cheapest they had, but I’m pleased. At least I will now see a big difference when changing to summer tyres. Bought four new tyres as well from Continental.

My bike is mounted on the roof because I did Enebakk Rundt yesterday. Had to skip doing it as planned with 15 timer’n, due to the gastroscopy on Wednesday I’m not feeling to good, so instead I had a nice ride with 18 timer’n.
Ghost Dog in concert
Yesterday Petter and I went to see Ghost Dog in concert. I’ve previous blogged that I really enjoy their music and that is still true, but yesterdays concert was a bit of a disappointment. For some reason I don’t think Ivan, the vocalist, did not use his full potential. Whether he was drunk or just had a bad day I’m actually not sure, but for some reason I think he could have been singing better than he did. But, still, it was a good concert…
I’ve had a Gastroscopy
Yesterday I had to do a gastroscopy. Just a routine check, nothing major wrong with me, but it had to be done. I’ve heard so much about it, would not say I was worried, but I did not know what to expect. Ok, it was not nice, I would prefer not to do it, but then again it was not that bad. I was able to breath without any problems, and occasionally I wanted to throw up, but that is normal. If you want to find out how it is being done, take a look at this video at Youtube (I do not embed this one 😉 )
Actually, the worst part if you ask me is that you are not allowed to eat or drink the whole day. So I got to bed at about 23:30, and was not able to eat or drink before about 16:00…I guess I had been sleeping for about two hours when I woke up and was feeling veeeery thirsty…
And also, I’ve been told that a endoscopy is worse 🙂
Spotify
Must admit Spotify impressed me just now. I read about Jahn Teigen at norskmusikk.org, and with Spotify running I wanted to listen to some of his music. I already have “En Dags Pause” in my cd collection, but I wanted to listen to some of his really old stuff – Popol Vuh, or Popol Ace (they had to change their name). And to my surprise, Spotify does have Popol Ace, so if you have Spotify, just click on the following link http://open.spotify.com/track/3rRVXVbzvsI1JDOSkPZkd1
Senkveld yesterday
We where watching “Senkveld” yesterday evening and I must say it was one of their best shows I’ve seen for a very long time. The main reason for this being that they did not have any interview objects that where from other tv shows at TV2. I get so sick and tired of tv shows talking about other tv shows.
Concert with Eva Kristine Bjerga Haugen together with Espen Eriksen Trio
This evening Elin and I went to a concert with Eva Kristine Bjerga Haugen and Espen Eriksen Trio, playing support for someone else (we went home before they started playing) http://www.nasjonaljazzscene.no/pa-plakaten/neil-cowley-trio-plateslipp. To thoose of you who know my taste of music, I have not turned into a jazz-man, but when Lars Tormod play I listen to jazz 🙂
rblog – Connecting people once again
My blog has once again connected people like it has two times before, only this time I was a part in it. Thomas from Switzerland was trying to get hold of a copy of the soundtrack from Izzat, but he realized that it was not as easy as he had hoped for. No one of the online music stores who had Izzat did not deliver outside of the Nordic countries. Instead, I ordered it for him together with a copy of Gluecifer – Kings of Rock, Best of and Rarities. Instead of money in return for the job I wrote to Thomas that he should in return send me some music from Switzerland, and so he did. He sent me The Monsters “I see dead people” and also an ep of his own band The Strapones http://thestrapones.com/. Cool music, both bands reminds me of the Norwegian band The Mormones
No one can claim that blogging is a waste of time! 🙂

Be kind, rewind
Yesterday evening we wathced “Be kind, rewind“. A bit strange I must say, but we had a good laugh. I very much agree the review written by Birger Westmo, Filmpolitiet http://nrk.no/p3/article/page/view/1.5415518 (In Norwegian)
