Blog updated

I’ve updated my blog to the latest stable version 2.4.6 “New Year”. Not any hassle at all, did it in about twenty minutes, 10 of those minutes must be blamed for my FTP client transferring not only the new conf-files, but also pictures in the media-blog. For somehow it did not detect the pictures in my local file folders as identical to the ones on the server. Anyhow, up and running with a smile.

This seasons first descent

This weekend me, Espen, PeA and AJ went to Hemsedal, my first time on snow this season and as always…nothing better! Saturday was not of the best days due to a bit bad weather, but Sunday was nice. I tried Djeveldalen (#2) for the first time, and off course Reidarskaret

The picture shows a kind of rainbow I’ve never seen before. I had the sun behind me and pretty much fog in front.

Lossless and lossy audio formats for music

Before changing the speakers in my car I thought that MP3 was the digital audio format that I would prefer for our entire cd collection. Last week, I was told that I should use lossless formats instead, but I did not care. But that was before yesterday. When out driving with the car listening to tracks on my Ipod I turned the volume all the way up to max without any problems. Somehow I was not pleased, I thought the sound…was a bit bad. But, then I switched to the cd-player…and whow!! So, now I have to delete all the MP3’s I have ripped, and instead use the FLAC-file format. You can read all about it here

Britney Renames Controversial Song “If You Seek Amy” To Avoid Radio Ban

Controversial my ass!! If you, with pretty much imagination, sings the chorus fast …”if you seek Amy”, someone has figured out that you can hear “F-U-C-K”…WTF??? But, then again, nothing new under the sun, it’s off course from the U.S, the country responsible for “Parental Advisory – Explicit Lyrics”. So now Britney will rename the song, and sing “If you see Amy”…jezz!!

Rock chip on my windshield

Earlier today when driving home from Gardermoen where I had been with my grandmother who was travelling to Allicante a small rock hit my windshield making a chip in it. I cursed a lot, but when I had calmed down again I drove straight to Riis Bilglass http://bilglass.no/ and about twenty minutes later I drove away from there with my windshield repaired.

Premiere of Død Snø

Last Friday we had tickets to the premier of the Norwegian movie called “Død Snø”

Described on Youtube as

A group of eight friends drives to a cabin in northern Norway where German troops where slaughtered by angry locals living there in 1945. Now the undead zombie Nazi soldiers feast on whoever comes there way.

…so definitely not a movie for the big masses 🙂
