Finally back in business

So far this week I’ve spent about 7 hours bicycle riding, including 1 hour of spinning and I feel good. May was bad because of me being ill, together with Anders and Elin being ill leaving me with no training what so ever, but now I’m back in business again, and this week has started out very, very good.

Today me and Kjetil went with our mountain bikes for about 2 1/2 hours. Here you see Kjetil taking a bath at Aurevatn.

I had to overtake a Porsche

On my way to Vestreng on Sunday the speed limit was decreased to 50 km/h due to road maintenance and danger of rocks flying all around. That was particularly bad for the Porsche costing lots and lots of money, so I guess he drove in about 10 km/h…so I had to overtake him…

At Eidsvollbyningen

Me and Elin went to meet Siri who had stuff to our wedding. She came from Hamar and we came from Vestreng, so we meet at Eidsvollbygningen

For Norwegians it is one of the most important national symbols, inextricably tied to the constitution, independence and the dramatic events of 1814, which are celebrated on the 17th of May every year. This is why Eidsvollsbygningen became Norway’s first national monument in 1837

She had not been there, and I must admit neither have I, or I’ve have cycled passed it, but not actually been there.

AC/DC in concert

Me, Loy, Anders, Bendik and Simen, who disappeared when he went off to buy beer, was at Valle Hovin yesterday when AC/DC played. They play simple and straightforward rock’n roll, just what you expect when going on a concert with them. I thought it was cool to see them live, but I must admit that I was a bit disappointed, the reason for this being to long breaks between each song. Almost between every song there was a break for about 30 seconds without any sound at all. I would have wanted a much tighter set, with the current song just flowing into the next one. So, seeing and hearing AC/DC –> Cool. The “Black Ice”-show, uncool!

“Kampen om ekteskapet og barnet” – Nina Karin Monsen

My latest book “Kampen om ekteskapet og barnet” by Nina Karin Monsen. I had to understand what all the fuzz was about. She won the The Freedom of Expression Prize, and due to this there was a lot of noise from the especially The Norwegian LGBT Association. This was because of her getting the prize based on opinions she has expressed in her book.

I do not want to go into whether or not I agree with her here on my blog, but what I want to say is that in my opinion the book really sucks. I could not agree more with this review “Prisbelønnet usaklighet“.

Safety first

Always wear a seat belt. This is a cheese cake which I brought with me to Vestreng.

If you don’t wear a seat belt, take a look at the video below, fast forward to 1:48 and watch for ten seconds.
