Garden tending, no problemo!

No challenge to do garden tending as long as you have the proper equipment. Borrowed the rotavator from Elin’s uncle, so now ready to make a field of flowers next to the greenhouse.

All done, now ready to leave the field.

Doing the finishing touches with the small rotavator.

Spreading some compost for the last final touch, again no problem with the proper tooling.

Let there be light: and there was light.

Couple of days ago I mounted the front led lights on my Valmet. Pretty amazed by the difference. Here using only the front lights

Then hitting the switch. Actually I need to adjust them more to the sides, because they light up the front loader so much that it is a bit annoying. A luxury problem…

And from the front…

Forest fire at Skredderåsen

Last weekend someone had made a fire at Skredderåsen, most certainly while hoping to catch the wood grouse playing on the bog below the hill. When times of very dry terrain, along with a general advise to not actually make a fire due to the conditions – it is best described as pretty stupid to do that. Consequences can be pretty bad, luckily this time not. I spent 3 minutes walking around the whole area, so luckily it is not a very big area, which is partly owned by us. Our neighbor did spend the night guarding and was able to prevent the fire from spreading.

Mowing the lawn for the first time this year

Last Monday evening I did mow the lawn for the first time this year. The weather forecast promised rain so I had to do it in a hurry. Killing one bird with two stones by trying to run when doing it to get some more exercise as well.

Need info about how to properly mow the lawn? Google is your friend http://www.wikihow.com/Properly-Mow-the-Lawn-%28Row-or-Column-Method%29

Reinstalling the IBM ECM System Monitor agent fails

Has just recently upgraded to IBM ECM SM FP 5.1.0.2 and today I wanted to update the configuration after the deployment done yesterday. Pretty straight forward, selected one server – did the needed – and then Install and configure. All files transferred to the server, but when running setup.bat it failed

Executing d:\IBM\ECMSM_AGENT\cala\setup.bat, please wait...
..?
The system cannot find the batch label specified - JAVA_ERROR?

Got confused, tried a second time with same result, was about to create a PMR for IBM Support, but decided to try the other server. Installed without any problems. So I gave the first server a third try…installed without any errors.

Update

Rune,

this can happen if a JAVA monitor is running. To override this issue stop the CALA service for the particular monitoring agent and try again.

Cheers

Alex

Task Execution Manager – stop Cala, then install – no problem.

Dalslands X-Country 2014

Yesterday Espen and I with Roy as the serviceman headed for Bengtsfors to participate in Dalslands X-Country. 60 km of mostly gravel roads, some single tracks but not very technical. Fun to compete again, and extra fun since we participated as a team – ending up as #7 of 23 teams, not to bad for two fathers of young children.

And when heading home stopping at Töcksfors to eat a burger and get some b vitamins.
