Applying the final touch on the concrete floor before we can start to lay the parquet flooring. The concrete needed to be leveled, small job doing that – the problem was afterwards when I had to clean the tooling. Since all water faucets outside still was frozen I went down to the small stream (brook) and cleaned it there, just like Elin’s grandmother washed clothes back in the old days. Worked as a charm, tools and bucket all clean and nice now.

Iver and I enjoying snow
Maybe not meant for running
Out running today, a bit wet I must say and also a _bit_ mud. Our neighbors has done their share of forestry work as well, pretty wet conditions which again has caused the forest road to be just a sea of mud. All up to my knees sometimes when trying to run there, needs a warm summer day or two to dry up…
A great day for…
…testing new kitchen utensils, cookware and such. What a great day to try the new small saucepan to melt butter, in order to make svele. And to make svele we needed to try out the new “steketakke” for the first time.
Forestry status
They are now finished, now all that remains is to get the timber out to where it should be picked up. Actually they did finish last Tuesday, pictures from Wednesday when me and the kids took a walk to check out the new view. But first, Iver had to get a close look at this icicle.
Close to Vanntårnet, the watertower.
