First time mowing the lawn this year

Weather forcast said rain today so yesterday I mowed the lawn for the first time this year. Not so much for the grass being to long, but I did not mowe it last autumn so it was pretty much dead grass from last year I needed to get rid of. Easiest was then to mowe it. Then it was much easier to rake the lawn. Did also get some help when doing that.

Bysprinten Mosjøen 2017

Two days ago, Bysprinten Mosjøen 2017, for the 11’th time with my mother in the arrangement committee each year it was finally time for me to actually be there. Had a great time, nice weather all the time made it a superb event.

The start of the prologue

The race

Øystein “Pølsa” Pettersen and Nils Ingar “Nilsie” Aadne realized that they had no chance winning, so in the final they headed right to the hot tub.

Exploring Sund / Sundsmarka

Spent last Friday working from Sund, the place where I grew up just outside of Hemnesberget. After having spent several hours troubleshooting it was a relief that I finally could head out for a quick run. Still a lot of snow in the mountains so running to the hills was not really an option, but then I realized that I could not even remember having been to Sundsmarka ever, always a first time for everything. So first goal was Sundsfjellet, photo taken towards Hemnesberget with Sundsholmen in the middle.

And here at Memmerhaugan (never knew the name, but found it on the map) towards Prestenget, Ramnflåget and way behind Snøfjellet

Exploring Kulstadåsen / Mosjøen

Last Thursday after having spent 13 hours sitting on the train from Oslo to Mosjøen, and a couple of hours sleep I needed to go for a quick run. The weather was very good, actually still pretty hard snow which made it easy to run (should have had more time and a pair of skis…).

Redneck repairing the sand digger

The screw holes holding the bucket had become worn out and since #3 wanted to use it right there and now and I had no disks available I had to find alternative solutions. So, found an old fish ball tin can, did cut of the bottom and did bend it around the bucket. Voila!! Ready for digging…
