Thor Hushovd, former Norwegian pro-cyclist, his self-biography. Read it, was a struggle, wanted to put it away several times, but as Thor tells how he did struggle with his races, never wanting to quit – it did manage as well to finish it. Got a bit better at the end, but for instance reading about him moving from France to Switzerland sending his furniture in a truck and taking the rest in his Porsche Cayenne…why would he want me to know that???

Spring break already?
Starting off with good intentions
Starting the new year with good intentions, had a run yesterday. Quite enjoyable, but only thanks to my pair of icebugs (fear no evil, I get nothing in return for linking to them 🙂 ). A lot of ice, both on- and offroad, but using the icebugs makes it similar to running on a hot summer day.
A walk in the frozen waterfall
Close to our home there is a small waterfall which has frozen now during the boxing week. Yesterday me and the kids took a walk in it. A lot of fun for all of us.

When driving my car becomes a competition
The Nissan web site offers services for you to know how your electric car is doing, among other – there is a service where you get to see your rank among other cars/drivers in the “region” (Not sure what this region is, whether it is Norway, or the Nordic or Europe). Anyhow, yesterday was a good day, up from 6978 to 6600, but when checking today…oh no!!! Down to 7528. Why of why??
My latest book – "Miraklet ved Litza" by Alf R. Jacobsen
Yet another book by what is, according to Elin, my favorite writer Alf R. Jacobsen about the first defeat on the Eastern Front for the Axis Powers. In 1941 the prepared the Operation Silver Fox planning to capture Murmansk, but this failed and turned into their first defeat on the new front.
Really enjoyed the book, especially the afterword by Sverre Diesen which made me understand the overall picture of all the battle details and at the end why the Germans did fail.
