Wild animals in Fredrikstad

Two days ago I had some spare time when me and the rest of my colleagues arrived in Fredrikstad, so I took a quick run. Could have been the last thing that I did, I must admit that I was not aware of all the wild animals – good thing they stood still so that I could take a picture of them

Found this stairs, since the steps was just really iron rods it was really hard to see where to set the foot down when walking (run) up and even worse down.

Still safe?

This package of kefir has been forgotten for some time in the fridge, usually not really worried about the date, but it started to get a bit “blown up”

…and actually, yesterday it almost bursted…that was really the deatch sentence.

Marlow Grand Prix 2016

Last Saturday I attended Marlow Grand Prix – a race close to home, so I just had to get on the bike and in 15 minutes I was at the start. Fun, good training, as always I would wish that I could do it faster, but then I need to be better prepared – so I leave that for next year. What I also need to do before next year is to buy many pairs of new socks. I got caught by the style police – and if the style police have had the right to arrest without a warrant I would have been arrested for having to short socks. To my defence it was ok years ago, so I just said that I’m really so 2008’ish (believeing that it is still called Shimano LX, but I’m wrong it is called Shimano 540 … or something…)

Preparing for winter

Actually this was last Saturday, got an early start and decided that we most likely won’t be spending to much time on the terrace anymore this year.

Cleaning the terrace, I really hate fungus and moss…

Did spray the moss with chemicals a couple of weeks ago, now washing most of it away. Will have to repeat the process

Moving a container – redneck style

I was called in yesteday by my neighbour to help out two guys getting an old container on to a trailer. Turned out to be a bit more work than expected, but we had a lot of fun and several good laughs (and just ot mention it from the start, it all went well)

Can it be lifted? Yes it can!

The trailer is ready to be pushed underneath

Had to level the tractor

Time for a break

Phase 1 done – mounted on the trailer, now phase 2 – Pull it out. Good thing I have more than one tractor.

We needed to level the trailer as well

Testing it on the car. We did not actually believe it at first, but the container was in perfect balance, so we could actually lift it from the trailer hitch with no help at all.

Phase 3 – Securing the load

Phase 4 – Getting ready to go

Volvo equals tractor…

Safe is in the air

Last Sunday with the help of Erik and my father in law we moved the safe from the house we rent out. Lifted it out with the crane and on to the forks of the front loader. Luckily we could do it all by the use of machines and no need to lift it, did fear for our backs if we would have needed to do that.

Apple lemonade

The boys did pick the apples in our garden, then we slized them up together and made apple lemonade. Really good, but much effort for little result, maybe we should check the ripeness a bit better, hoping for more juicy apples in a week or so.
