My latest book, “Krev din rett” by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a book about women and Islam. On the front cover there is a quote from Salman Rushdie “Dette er en ekstrem viktig bok, heftig, utfordrende og nødvendig”. It is well worth reading!

Krev din rett

Found her blog here http://hirsialiayaan.web-log.nl/hirsialiayaan/ It is also in fact interesting to just go to the page because it is a very Web 2.0 blog, Mashups and all.

I have also wondered in the past whether or not it was right to publish the pictures of the prophet Muhammad by Jyllands Posten and here in Norway Magazinet http://www.magazinet.no. When all the fuzz was going on I was unsure what was right or not, and I must admit, stupid as I was, I thought it might have been wrong. But now I realize that I have totally changed my opinion. If I should mean that to publish the drawings was wrong, then I should hate the movie “Life of Brian” among other movies, but…I don’t, and I realize that it was the right thing to do. Shame on Norwegian politicians who argued against Magazinet. Read how Ayaan defends her right to offend here http://www.nrc.nl/opinie/article215732.ece – go, Gadget, go!!

Found this article in Magazinet about Christians having been killed in Niger due to the Muslim community suspecting that they had pictures of Muhammad there http://www.magazinet.no/artikkel.asp?Artid=10373. I must say that the more I read and get to know Islam, the more I resist it. It is ok that the government tells me not to drive faster than 30 km/h out in the street, and that I have to pay my tax, but I do not want to be told by elderly men with long beard what to think when at home (true, Koreanen does so), how to treat my woman….must…stop…now…before…I…get…to…angry…and…maybe…will not be able to stop writing…
