Renovation of the kitchen – This is the end…almost

Yesterday the we finally finished most of the work, and we are now able to use the kitchen as before. We now have electricity for the oven and dishwasher, thanks to Kjetil. There are some small issues left still, but we have plenty of time to fix that before we move in about four or five years 🙂

We are quite happy with the result, needless to say, it raises the standard of the kitchen _quite_ a bit

Kitchen finished

After a long day of work, kitchen work and a bit more than an hour of spinning at SATS, the quickest option to get food was….a grandiosa … to bad that was the first thing to be done in the oven…but, I needed the food…

To much spare time?

In our neighboring country Sweden, they have issues off course, who has not? But…

Bara Bröst is not committed to any political or religious views.

We demand:

  • That women should be allowed to be topless in situations where it is accepted for men to be topless.
  • That the breast should not be considered to be a part of the female genitalia.
  • That the gender discriminating rules at the swimming pools are removed.
  • That the norms that discriminats against women are worked with in schools and at workplaces and so on.
  • That the politicians take their responsibility and act in this question.

http://barabrost.blogg.se/ and…found it at http://www.vg.no off course 🙂

Don’t want to be picky, but in my opinion they have a bit bigger issues in for instance Iran /2007/09/22/female_discriminating_laws_in_iran

Renovation of the kitchen – light at the end of the tunnel

Now we are almost there. Today the plumber has been here, so tomorrow morning we are allowed to use the water in the kitchen, which in fact makes it a real kitchen. Right now we still lack the tiles above the bench and we need electricity for the dishwasher and the oven.

An advice from me to you by the way, it is no problem to buy a kitchen from IKEA, BUT – do not buy anything related with water from them. The plumber was not impressed with the plumbing made available, different sizes, he actually needed to secure it with duck tape (to be 100% safe), but as he said: “if you buy it from ORAS for instance, they fit with the correct size, at least I can get you the correct size of plumbing…from IKEA, I can’t!”

Anyhow, here are the pictures from our kitchen pr. today

I’m a lumber jack and I’m ok

Yesterday doing some more work at Vestreng. Anders was stuck with the backhoe loader so this time I had to use the log winch to get him up the hill.

By the way, found some interesting web pages covering the issue of Farm Tractor Logging

90’ths party

Last Friday I dressed up for a 90’ths party. From way back in the closet I found my old leather jacket from -94. I also went to Freetex and bought the rest of the stuff, fleece (nice!), a tie (Hugo Boss, no shit!!) and a brown cord trousers. And since it was a 90’ths party, we had to drink like in the 90’ths, so I had one large bottle of Vodka and another large bottle of home made Turkish Pepper (a large bottle of Vikingfjord and Fazer Turkish Pepper). Spot on, had a lot of fun, but Saturday was not so much fun, but not as bad as several other times when drinking wine, beer and other stuff…

Certified HTML Developer

This evening I did the HTML Developer test provided by W3schools, so now I will get a diploma confirming that I know my html, css and xhtml! http://www.w3schools.com/cert/cert_html.asp

I would highly recommend you to study for it and take the test if you are working as a web developer. Not that the test itself gave me more knowledge, but I learned a lot of new cool stuff when taken the available courses at W3Schools.

My blog yet again updated

I’ve just updated my blog once again. First I tried to upgrade to version 2.1.0 beta, but everything went bananas. Nothing worked, and I just got a message saying “Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in…”

Luckily I had done what I was supposed to do, I had a backup, so I restored my database and instead upgraded from 1.10.2 to 1.10.3. I guess I will wait until version 2.x is released as stable, not as beta as it is now. In fact, 1.10.3 is the stable release…so…buckle up, it’s the law!
