In need of a bike?

At work this morning while locking my own bike I noticed this Trek with belt drive next to mine. It was locked, but it would not be hard to open it since the key was in the lock…

Kinda crazy using that bike with those wheels today, due to all the ice on the road.

Got a Porsche and a caravan and don’t know what to do?

Always someone out there able to help you, if you for instance have a Porsche and need to pull a caravan… check out http://www.willwoodsystem.com/

As crazy as the Koenigsegg Agera R and Thule Lightning

But still, maybe not so crazy after all, all the time Jon Olson has mounted a skibox on his Lamborghini Murcialago, the LP 670-4 SV Olsson Winter edition version, see pictures at http://www.jon-olsson.com/?p=1063

Cold engine making dirty snow

Today we finished our winter vacation, Elin and the kids have been one week at Sjusjøen, I have been there from Wednesday. Last night it snowed about 10cm of the finest powder so everything was all white and shiny when I backed the car to where I could turn around. I revved up the engine and spun it around. Since the engine was cold that caused quite much exhaust, nothing abnormal, but I must admit that I was a bit surprised to see that a thin layer of exhaust, almost like ash, had covered the snow.

Biking in cold weather

Today when going to work in just below -10 celsius I realized that my glasses where gone, so I had to test the googles I have bought for days like these. Combination of snow and cold weather is a bit hard if not having glasses. But to my surprise it turned out to work just fine, no condensation and also no pain in my forehead due to cold weather when going downhill from Tveita.

Our street today, pretty bad conditions, but on Thursday it will be better, then they will come and remove all the snow.

At my doctors office

Just had to take a picture of this poster providing information about flu, where someone had added a small piece of information “Look up!! Youtube Chemitrails!!!” Conspiracy theories all over. Better “Look to your orb for the warning

And the old man, down by the river
Well he walks up and he walks on down
To the spaceship that’s parked at your doorstep
And it’s waiting to take you away now

Duct tape to the rescue for worn out cycling shoe covers

I’ve used my cycling shoe covers for a year now, or not exactly, since I’m using them only when wearing the winter cycling shoes. Anyhow, they started to get pretty worn out, even tho I’m only walking short distances with them. But whenever such a problem, duct tape to the rescue. So now they should be lasting at least the rest of this season (or at least I hope so because they where expensive…should have lasted longer if you ask me…)

Things at Fornebu to report from this week

First, the Christmas tree fell down, wonder if someone had done it on purpose, because the tree did not look _that_ good when standing up. Do think it was fixed Friday afternoon, so it will be Christmas this year as well.

Walked back a bus stop when leaving work on Friday, just to make sure I got a seat in the bus. Saw this sign at Aker Solutions. WTF??? Slippery??? It is ….snow….with sand…slippery??? Also, note – there are still people walking on the lawn outside of the tape, you can see the new track have been made 🙂

Bradley Manning

Thank you for signing the declaration “We Stand with Bradley Manning!”
Volunteers will soon send letters on your behalf in support of PFC Manning
to US Army officials requesting that the charges be dropped.

I must admit that currently I’m not sure whether or not I fully support the demand to free him, to do that I need to know more about his case. But what I what I know is that I find the treatment he gets to be very wrong. He does not deserve to be isolated for 23 hours each day, in a cell without even a blanket. Assuming that this information is true, why should I not, just take a look at Guantanamo, I stand behind the demand to free him, he deserves better!!

Edit: Here is a description of his day

He can have a blanket, but no pillow or sheets…crazy mofo rules!!!
