Today I have taken the swine flue vaccine. My employer, Telenor, provided for all the staff the possibility to take it while at work. So, then no excuse not to take it, so now all three of us are covered at home.

Naked in front of the computer
Pretty girls can be naked in front of the computer without people harassing them, but when I once played Quake for some hours naked in front of the computer I was accused for various things. Female geek shown here http://www.itavisen.no/830521/modell-spiller-wow-naken
Or you can spend time listening to Faith No More playing “Naked in front of the computer”

Though start
Stayed up a bit to late yesterday watching Top Gear on NRK Nett-Tv, so I easily felt asleep when traveling with the bus from downtown Oslo this morning. Did not wake up at all until a woman woke me up saying “Excuse me, are you supposed to get of here?” So I popped up, jumped out of the bus just to realize that “I’m not supposed to be here”. But the problem was I could not immediately figure out where I was. Spent two minutes before I understood that the I was sleeping while passing my stop, then the bus had turned around in the next roundabout and stopped at the last stop. Therefore everything was on the wrong side of the road, and the fact that it was a BMW-shop there confused me even more, since there is a BMW-shop just by the bus stop before Telenor as well. Anyhow, now at work, not so tired, but still a bit confused 🙂

How to correctly build ginger bread houses
Got a tip from a colleague of mine. SINTEF Building and Infrastructure have just published a document on how to construct ginger bread houses according to their recommendation. Good to see that they have some fun at work as well, but not to be mistaken, it is serious work… Read the recommendation in Norwegian here http://www.sintef.no/Byggforsk/Nyheter/Unnga-byggskader–bak-pepperkakehus-etter-forskriftene/
Blind testing caviar
I had bought caviar from Coop here the other day, but Elin insisted that Mills caviar was waaaay better. I challenged her, and arranged a blind test. Prepared two spoons, and made her decide who was best – meaning according to her, which one was Mills. Tasted, and said sure as hell “This is Mills caviar…”….aaaand she was wrong!! Victory to me!
New glass fuse does the trick
Some days ago the lamp we got as a wedding present this summer suddenly did not bring light to our living room anymore. I tried to change the light bulb, but no, it did not do the trick. Luckily I frequently read the blog to my colleague from Bertel O. Steen Morten. He had just experienced the same problem and made a blog post about it http://www.mknudsen.org/?p=1039, so thanks to him, or should I say Betty, we are now able to see again when in the livingroom.
Pica pica outside my window
Working home today when suddenly a Pica Pica, or European Magpie landed just outside my window. Since I had the video camera right next to me I got the bird on tape, because remember if you get it on tape, you can get it in cash.

Jezzes!!!
Russia is getting buried in nuclear waste – about 550 million tons
www.earthtimes.org/…atomic-waste.html
That is…a lot!! Compare it to this article about a tunnel being built here in Norway. They describe a million tons of rocks as very much…Russia has 550 times more…of atomic waste…god damn!
