As a follow up of my post from 29’th of June this very same year “And what a summer“. Today the road is not flooded, but pretty close and if the weather forecast for the rest of the day is true it might well flood.
Fiction, but still very close to reality – a must read for anyone with just a slight portion of interest in the history of WW2.
A Hero of the Sea is a high point in Jon Michelet´s impressive writing career and is nothing less than the great Norwegian sea novel. Written with authority and warmth, this is a gripping, epic tale of the war at sea.

Friday afternoon my neighbor Thomas got two tickets to Depeche Mode in Telenor Arena the same evening and invited me to join him…an offer I could not refuse since I never have seen them live. Some advantages of having children waking me up early in the morning, I get to do stuff while they are watching tv. I have now applied the latest patch for B2Evolution. All done in less than ten minutes, download the patch and upload the changed files, smooth!

My friends Espen and Roy came to visit us last weekend together with their remote controlled cars. My kids did enjoy it a lot, but our cat did also enjoy the cars – not driving, but hunting. That said, sometimes I do believe that she felt hunted as well.

Out yesterday evening, my friend Roy wanted to try out my new head lamp. Kent, our friend in Tromsø asked us to document the testing, so I did using my iPhone to film it. Due to problems getting the phone to zoom the film does not fully show how good the lamp is, instead it contains complaints about Apple products in general and a lot of northern norwegian language.
