If summer comes in a hurry, one of my neighbors are well prepared if the lawn should grow to fast to soon. He has left the lawn mover out on the lawn the whole winter. Me and Anders was out this morning when I spotted it. Not to be all to pessimistic, but I would be surprised if it starts on the first try.

From Lindesnes to Nordkapp with bicycle IV
The fourth leg, now I have reached Storforshei, or just Heia as we justed to call it when I was a child. Heia is just 25 kilometers north of Mo i Rana where I grew up. At Heia you can among other things find the Artic Circle Raceway. So now I’ve done almost 1500 kilometers this year riding my bike to work.
When biking to work I am passing Middelalderparken after about 7 kilometers. There you can, among other things, find ruins of an old church and other buildings. And once a year the music festival Øyafestivalen is held there.
Close to disaster!!
At home this evening, late dinner, one can of beer in the refrigerator – could not resist it. Sat down on the couch and grabbed the can, pulling the opener with my index finger when suddenly…it just bent, so the box did not open. A state of emergency was immediately issued at home. I rushed out to the kitchen to safer ground, looking for tools to help me out, when I decided to try to use my thumb….and yes!! The can was open, state of emergency was lifted, order was restored and we could enjoy our wolffish filet

Weekend at Skeikampen
Thomas, Espen and I have been skiing this weekend at Skeikampen. Not the best resort, but after we had been following the weather forecast the last week we decided that due to danger of avalanches some places and not enough snow other places Skeikampen was the best choice.
Saturday morning we woke up to a beautiful day. The sun was shining and the temperature was perfect, during the day we even got some slushy snow.
Look, me wearing my helmet…Espen and Thomas just behind. Skeikampen can be fun when the snow conditions are good, even if the slopes are not the longest ones, off piste is easily accessible from the lifts.
But when the conditions are just average or not even that, Skeikampen gets a bit boring. So when we woke up this morning and saw that the weather was like this, well…icy conditions with some snow here and there…we drove home at 12
Mechanical breakdown
As I have mentioned earlier, to commute each day is hard for the equipment. Today my bike chain snapped when I was about to accelerate from the sidewalk out in the road. This happened down by Aker Brygge, luckily I must say since it is not a long walk to the subway. Not decided what to do now, I will create a single speed of the bike, but the gear shifters are still quite ok, so I guess a new chain will do the trick for now.
Nothing else to do than use the subway when things are like this
Orango in concert
Yesterday I met my friend Marco, first we went out to eat and afterwards we went to see Orango in concert. Four years since the first time I saw them playing live. This time I found the concert much better, enjoyed the new songs and also the fact that they followed the principle which among others Nicke Andersson is a hardcore fan of “Don’t talk, just play the music” (Remembering the Hellacopters concert from Hove-festivalen two years ago when they played fours songs without saying anything, then Nicke said “Tjena Norje”, and played on…love it!!). First time I saw Orango they talked to much, but now they played with minimal pauses between the songs, love it! So thumbs up for Trond, showing his torso, and the rest of the band.
Marco and I at Last Train before the band started playing
Ugly architecture
This weekend I saw the episode of the tv show Spekter. The episode was about ugly architecture

With that in mind I took these three pictures when passing over the bridge across E18 at Bjørvika. If good architecture makes you happy, I must admit that biking here each day does not make me happy in a degree that I myself notie…
And then off to something else, if you’re in the need of a ski, you will find one at Hjortnes, alongside E18. I guess someone driving by in a car earlier this winter now have just one Fischer ski.
Online trucking in the USA
Got this url from my colleague Leslaw. A guy working as a truck driver in the US, broadcasting his location and also the forward view as well as from inside the cabin. If just dull stuff on tv, spend some hours driving on the Americans highways http://www.oczamikierowcy.com/?page_id=20
