Beer tasting at Akersberget

Yesterday I was invited to Akersberget Restaurant for a combined dinner and Christmas beer tasting. The beer tasting was arranged by Ølakademiet. Off course great fun, but also interesting to learn some facts about beer other than just “This is pilsner, and this is ale”. Akersberget also has its charm, you can touch the mountain when inside. Good food and good beer, good evening!

Get to know new music?

Then I will recommend listening to Harald Are Lund on NRK, also available for streaming…off course http://www.nrk.no/programmer/sider/harald_are_lund/

On the 14’th of December he started his show playing Thåström, but off course!

Rollerblading gone wild

Rollerblades on a completely new level I must say, go to http://www.gamaniak.com/video-3625-descente-cote-buggyrollin.html and check out the video at the bottom.

You can also watch it on Youtube, but the quality is not so good.

The moment of truth, a portrait of the iPhone

Iphone and the Stockholm syndrome, funny reading in Norwegian http://www.digi.no/830770/%ABiphone-er-som-stockholm-syndromet%BB

– iPhone-brukere elsker og tilber mobilen sin, skriver Strand, og legger til: – iPhone er omkranset av et antall folk, medier og selskaper som gladelig tøyer sannheten for å forsvare produktet de har kjøpt fra Apple.

Naked in front of the computer

Pretty girls can be naked in front of the computer without people harassing them, but when I once played Quake for some hours naked in front of the computer I was accused for various things. Female geek shown here http://www.itavisen.no/830521/modell-spiller-wow-naken

Or you can spend time listening to Faith No More playing “Naked in front of the computer”

New category in my blog – Work/Geek

Up until now I have posted work related stuff on http://blog.workplace.no, but since I’m not working there anymore I’ve created a new category in my own blog. So from now on I will be also be posting work related stuff which I want to shear with the rest of the world.

Today I want to share how you can find “Port number settings in WebSphere Application Server versions“. It lists default ports for WAS from 4.0 to 7.0, also valuable if you have changed the default ports and need to know which xml-file that contains this info. Saved me today…

Though start

Stayed up a bit to late yesterday watching Top Gear on NRK Nett-Tv, so I easily felt asleep when traveling with the bus from downtown Oslo this morning. Did not wake up at all until a woman woke me up saying “Excuse me, are you supposed to get of here?” So I popped up, jumped out of the bus just to realize that “I’m not supposed to be here”. But the problem was I could not immediately figure out where I was. Spent two minutes before I understood that the I was sleeping while passing my stop, then the bus had turned around in the next roundabout and stopped at the last stop. Therefore everything was on the wrong side of the road, and the fact that it was a BMW-shop there confused me even more, since there is a BMW-shop just by the bus stop before Telenor as well. Anyhow, now at work, not so tired, but still a bit confused 🙂
