Alf R. Jacobsen – Scharnhorst

Just finished reading the book about Scharnhorst, named Scharnhorst, written by Alf R. Jacobsen. Very interesting, and the precursor to the book about Tirpitz, which will be the next book I will read.

Thunder and lightning

I see a little silhouetto of a man,
Scaramouche, scaramouche will you do the Fandango-
Thunderbolt and lightning-very very frightening me-
Galileo,Galileo,
Galileo Galileo

On Monday there was one of the worst rainstorms ever, with thunder and lightning. Made a lot of fuzz, it rained in through open windows, and it killed the ISDN-box, the ADSL-router and the wireless router, leaving me with no Internet connection. Made a lot of stress for me yesterday, but I was able to continue on the web course…

Tor Jacobsen – Smeltedigelen

I have just finished reading Smeltedigelen by Tor Jacobsen http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tor_Jacobsen , the story of Mo I Rana and the Iron Mill. Interesting to read the story of my home town, about the labor unions, people out of work, people with work but out of work and the red smoke.

Public Transportation in Oslo

Today, working a bit late at Tine, trying to get home by using the subway just to realize that I had to wait almost 25 minutes, because they start the half hour frequency already at half past seven. That sucks!!! Why should public transportation need to be run after economical principles? They are a corner stone of the society, the government should provide public transportation reguraly at any time, instead I had to take the crowded subway home….arrrghh
