Escape from boredom

Woke up this morning and was totally taken by surprise. What is this white stuff on the ground? Just yesterday I said to myself that I won’t need the chains on the tractor anymore, but since I did not have the time I did not unmount them. Not that I would need them today if I where to clear away the snow since it is most likely starting to rain later today. Actually I would want an old agricultural roller, the single ones, not the wide with 3 rollers like I have to “flatten” the snow instead of showeling it away – along with thousands of small stones out on the lawn.

Nice day at Langfoss yesterday. Had to walk, close to no snow, but the kids could try iceskating and the kicksled. And the youngest ones could slide down every place possible.

How January was summarized in a single picture

Yesterday at Fetsund, plenty of sand on the tarmac – but it was all covered in invisible layer of thin ice, so it was actually slippery as he#¤.

This log will eventually turn into planks later this year (I hope).

Sky over Lillestrøm train station this morning

Cutting down trees standing to close to the fields this winter, getting help from my neighbour as well – so this is hardcore forestry – three tractors in use. A lot of work, not seeing the end of it yet.
