Spinning to Pearl Jam

Couple of days ago, spinning to Pearl Jam again, this time the album Binaural released back in 2000. A bit to laid back for me while spinning, I must admit that I fast forwarded the two-three latest songs and ended up with David Guetta.

Spinning to Pearl Jam

Early Sunday morning, got up before the others. Got some quality time in the barn spinning to Pearl Jam and their latest album Lightning Bolt. Good one, but as most of the other albums from Pearl Jam I will have to listen to it more than once to really start enjoying it.

Single track in Arendal, beer festival and good food

Went to Arendal together with friends this weekend to try Tungvekteren. Weather forecast was promising and also accurate. So after getting up early on Saturday morning, jumping into the car and heading down to Arendal we started biking at around 12:00.

Someone have had technical problems

Trine on one of the most spectacular spots on the track.

At the hotel, we stayed at Tyholmen, pretty nice!

And it turned out to be a beer festival there the same evening, which we could not refuse to attend.

This one from Nøgne Ø, 16%, coffee among the other ingredients.

Sunday morning view

Steinar and Espen enjoying the view

The view

Since we deserve it, hamburger and Cola on our way home.

Out running with the help of Piper

Me and Piper, our neighbor, or to be more correct – our neighbors dog – went out running two days ago. I got pulled a lot for the first half hour, but the rest we were more or less helping each other. Fun to not be all alone, also since it got pitch-dark at the end.

Border control

Out running yesterday and with the help of a map and a compass I did do some border control That is, trying to figure out what is our land and what is the neighbors land (say it with the tunes of This Is Your Land in the back of your head). Passing this bog I had to take some pictures, was a pretty nice view.

Afterwards I made a huge fire. Had collected a lot of branches and covered them with plastic the past two months, so they where really dry. One single match made all this.

Spinning to The Strokes

This evening, spinning to The Strokes and their new album Comedown Machine. Must admit that I fast forwarded some of the songs, not the best choice for interval training.

Also upgraded my gym, bought a big clock when in Sweden. It is synced using radio signals from an atomic watch somewhere in Germany. So it adjusts itself, and also switch from summer to winter time and back again, how cool is that?

And a close up shows the unintended romantic trick.

From Bjørkelangen with kickbike

My car is at the auto shop today for the periodic technical inspection (EU inspection). So I needed to get back home. Two hours until the bus departed, cannot run since that would kill my legs and not able to bring my bike to Bjørkelangen. Solution – kickbike!!

Took a panorama-picture, but my iPhone did not cope with the sun, but fun anyhow

Nice view just before Fosser

But, that’s nothing, this guy did America coast to coast http://suewidemark.com/delzer.htm

First bike ride!

This year is not like the past ones, today I had my first bike ride, 5 months later than for instance last year. But, what is better is the weather when riding the bike in May than in January.

A quick stop overlooking Maridalsvatnet.

Spinning to Noah And The Whale

Yesterday, spinning to Noah And The Whale

While writing this I found a review of the album saying

. I gave it three out of ten for the first two songs and the last one. All the music inbetween is aimed at 12-15 year old girls. I thought I was listening to the best of Australian Idol. Songs have no depth and are aim at a quick buck!!

Utter crap and is the worst album of my collection. The only positive is that I also bought the new strokes album which is gold.

I do no think it was that bad, meaning, it was easy listening, but I must admit that I got a bit annoyed of the lyrics. And that does not happen often, me paying attention to the lyrics.
