About Norwegian war sailors sailing for the Norwegian Merchant Fleet during WW2. Had to read it as a follow up of my previous book Skogsmatrosen and as a teaser before starting on part two of Skogsmatrosen, the second book Skytteren.

My latest book: En Sjøens Helt – Skogsmatrosen by Jon Michelet
Fiction, but still very close to reality – a must read for anyone with just a slight portion of interest in the history of WW2.
A Hero of the Sea is a high point in Jon Michelet´s impressive writing career and is nothing less than the great Norwegian sea novel. Written with authority and warmth, this is a gripping, epic tale of the war at sea.

My latest book: Mark Owen – En tøff dag på jobben (No Easy Day)
Mark Owen (a pseudonym off course) tells his own story about being part of SEAL and the hunt for Bin Laden. Easy read, did not really enjoy the book, but still interesting to read. Read more about it at N.Y Times
My latest book – Rolf J. Widerøe, Hans Petter Aass "Krigshelten"
Worth spending time reading, the book about Trond Bolle – “Krigshelten“
My latest book: Øyvind Strømmen – Det mørke nettet

Frithjof Jacobsen aka Biff Malibu (or is it the other way around?), former lead singer in Gluecifer “The Kings of Rock”. A hell of a band, no dobut. The book about 101 concerts back in 2004. Not sure if he tried to write the Norwegian version of The Dirt, if so, no success. Not sure what the correct phrase would be, but in Norwegian I would say “perfekt toalettlektyre”.
My latest book: Joseph Goebbels – en biografi
My latest book: Joseph Goebbels – en biografi, written by the Swedish author Lars Ericson Wolke.
My latest book: Guns, Germs and Steel
Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies is a 1997 book by Jared Diamond, professor of geography and physiology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). In 1998, it won the Pulitzer Prize for general non-fiction and the Aventis Prize for Best Science Book….

Recommended reading for everyone, nothing more to say!
My latest book: Joral Gjerstad “Den gode kraften”
Not entirely true that this is my latest book, finished it a while ago. Used to read it when at my in-laws while putting the kids to bed. A self-biography written by Joral Gjerstad, better known as Snåsamannen
My latest book: Laurence Rees – The Nazis
My latest book – Laurence Rees – The Nazis, a warning from history.
…Described as ‘one of the greatest documentary series of all times’ ‘The Nazis – A Warning from History’ won a host of awards, including a Bafta and an International Documentary Award. The accompanying book broke new ground in our understanding of the Nazi regime and was praised for ‘getting to the heart of the most troubling and elusive questions of Germany before and during World War Two’. The dramatic and incredible story that unfolds in these pages, once read, is not easily forgetten.
A book of horror, mostly since you get to realize that many of the people who did the most horrible things during WW2 where just ordinary people in the beginning, just like you and me, and when the war was over, they returned to their ordinary lives. Makes you think…could I have done the same thing? And also, even though Hitler himself was not a highly educated man, many of the leading Nazis where…and still…
