Trimming the hedge

Yesterday I spent a couple of hours trimming the “Norwegian Spruce” hedge at Vestreng. As the top left picture shows it was clearly a need. The middle picture is me on top of the ladder. As the upper right picture shows the hedge is fairly wide, so my knees are hurting a bit today because of the stress the got when I leaned over to cut all the branches. Quite happy with the result. New set of wheels for my car

Had to buy a new set of wheels earlier this week when one of the old ones got broken when hitting a hole in the road. Original Ford wheels cost so much that buying completely new ones did not cost _to much_ more. Still kept it as 16″, and they where one of the cheapest they had, but I’m pleased. At least I will now see a big difference when changing to summer tyres. Bought four new tyres as well from Continental.

My bike is mounted on the roof because I did Enebakk Rundt yesterday. Had to skip doing it as planned with 15 timer’n, due to the gastroscopy on Wednesday I’m not feeling to good, so instead I had a nice ride with 18 timer’n.

I’ve had a Gastroscopy

Yesterday I had to do a gastroscopy. Just a routine check, nothing major wrong with me, but it had to be done. I’ve heard so much about it, would not say I was worried, but I did not know what to expect. Ok, it was not nice, I would prefer not to do it, but then again it was not that bad. I was able to breath without any problems, and occasionally I wanted to throw up, but that is normal. If you want to find out how it is being done, take a look at this video at Youtube (I do not embed this one 😉 )

Actually, the worst part if you ask me is that you are not allowed to eat or drink the whole day. So I got to bed at about 23:30, and was not able to eat or drink before about 16:00…I guess I had been sleeping for about two hours when I woke up and was feeling veeeery thirsty…

And also, I’ve been told that a endoscopy is worse 🙂

Spring work

Espen and I went out to Vestreng today to unmount the ski boxes from our cars. I had also planned to change to summer tyres, but sadly I had to admit that they where totally stuck. Due to corrosion the wheel is stuck to the car axle. If the jack had been more stable I could have applied more pressure, but since its not I will take the car to the garage and get the tires changed there. And next winter use the proper amount of grease on the wheel to avoid this problem.

Can you guess what this is?

Can you guess what this is? Answer below the picture

Most people would say a remote control for the Get decoder “Get Box“. But that is close, but no sigar. Because it used to be a remote control, but now after my soon to be 1 year old son Anders has played with it, it has turned into something made out of plastic, with room for two AAA-batteries and with buttons in various colours. It is completely dead, and we now get pretty much exercise when we want to switch channels. Not much use of it now either, it weigh not enough to be used as a bookend, I’m all out of ideas.

Nothing but the Net

I want an operating system like the Cloud http://www.thinkgos.com/cloud/ Imagine being able to press the power button of your computer and in just a few seconds you are online with your browser. For all other tasks you will still have other OS like Windows and your Linux distro, but for just browsing I would prefer not having to wait for at least 5 minutes before everything is up and running. Actually, my Lenovo T60 with all my installed services needs more than that.
