It has happened again

Satnav takes BMW driver to brink of 100ft drop

He claims that he did just follow the directions given by his GPS. I like the comment “It’s all well and good trusting your satnav but how about trusting your eyes?”

He should have read “Ten tips for sat nav safety

Remember from one of the episodes of “Nordkalotten 365” with Lars Monsen, he was together with a sámi who said “I once bought a GPS, but I sold it again, since I already knew where I was…”

A fox in our backyard

Yesterday morning Anders woke me up at 05.00. So I got up and prepared some milk for him. When finished I looked and walking back to the bedroom I took a quick look out of the window and at first I thought it was very early for our neighbour to be out walking his dog. But then I realised that it was not Pascal, the schafer, but a fox. He took his time, enough for me to fetch the camera and take some pictures.

Cross country skiing

Yesterday I took my cross country skis out for the first time this season. The conditions are very good (to much snow in the city), and they have been for quite a while now, so it was about time that I did according to Espen (since the season is almost over now as he said). I just had to run for about five minutes carrying my skis, then it was just to conquer Østmarka. I was out for about 2 hours, and the same today. Good fun, but I need to update my knowledge on wax, that’s for sure.

Buns with raisins versus chocolate

The recent years it have become even more popular to sell not only plain buns and buns with raisins, but also buns with chocolate at for instance the gas stations. I must admit that I am a fan of both buns and chocolate, but together it is almost to much. And I have also been disappointed several times when looking forward to eat my raisin bun, just to realise at the first bite that it is a chocolate bun.

Shell at Espa are a lot of buns each year, so much that they even provide their own ringtone
