Doing maintenance on the pram

After just two days of use one of the wheels on our Emmaljunga City Cross pram started to creak and did not run smoothly. I took one call to Kattis Babyshop in Sweden where we bought the pram and got instructions to use a 10 mm drill and with my hands only make the hole for the axle a bit bigger. The reason for this is that a certain production series of these prams have an error…to small holes in the wheel for the axle. I did as instructed, and it all turned out for the best, we are now able to go out with the pram again.

btw: I would have been provided with a new wheel if the problem had not been fixed.

Scary conditions at Furuset

Went to the dry cleaner earlier today at Furuset where I lived before. Outside the shopping mall I had to take a picture of the mob there, the Wheelchair Mob. Not sure whether they support the A or B gang, or maybe they are supporting a totally different gang. What I know is anyhow that they are bad! They curse, they smoke, they drive their electric wheel chairs at high speeds overtaking pedestrians at both sides…so be ware if ever going to Furuset!

How to create a private blog using b2evolution

I’ve just installed the latest version of B2evolution and now wanted to create a new private blog as well for friend and family only. To be able to do that I needed to be able to password protect the blog. This is not straight forward in B2 if you are not familiar with programming PHP. I would hope for that they make this a feature in backoffice in coming releases.

Anyhow, this post in the forum got me started
http://forums.b2evolution.net/viewtopic.php?t=15031&highlight=password

I needed to adjust the code a bit, so this is what I ended up with

if ( isset($blog) == “2” ) {
$login_required = true;
}
elseif (!isset($login_required)) {
$login_required = false;
}

At least because of how I have configured my blogs you will need to check if $blog is set, or else you will get an error.

Changes!

On Monday at 22.01 our son Anders was born. He is named after his grandfather Anders. Everything went according to plan and we are both very proud 🙂

As the past two days I’m allowed a couple of hours at home to do my duty, meaning spinning in the basement. And yes, I’m very well aware of that Elin is amazing letting me do that, but most of all that confirms that Anders is well and we don’t have any problems what so ever other than what first time parents always have 😀

My blog yet again updated

I’m now running on b2evo v 2.4.1. I’ve had some troubles being able to update to the latest version, but it ended up that I realized that I had not read the manual from start to end. RTFM and everything went smooth. The new version has some new major features, but that is back office so users just reading my blog will not notice anything different.

Or, there is one difference, the skin (layout) is changed. This is because the skin api is changed, so my old skin is not working out of the box at least. I must do a follow up on this.

What we read when eating breakfast

Took this picture couple of days ago after first I, then Elin, had been eating breakfast. I read Aftenposten, and Elin read “100 dikt” (100 poems) by Haldis Moren Vesaas http://www.bokklubben.no/SamboWeb/produkt.do?produktId=2834026 Kinda funny…

But, ok, as you might have seen already, there is also a book there – Rocky by Martin Kellerman, which I read some days before that… check it out here http://www.rocky-digital.com/
