Escape from boredom

This evening, Kaizers Orchestra live in concert – Sentrum Scene. Have to admit it that it must be the best concert I’ve been to in many years…they are amazing live!

Yesterday Espen and I went to see Bare Egil Band performing live at Sentrum Scene. Fun and entertaining with a lot of his songs from last year such as all the three listed at his blogpost “Forrige helgs sanger”

• Nå swinger det i Tjølling
• Morten Ab-l Ab-l
• Hei Lyngdøl

Created a playlist with all Youtube clips of Hellacopters live at Hove 2008, a great moment in history!

The song “Beg, Steal or Borrow” was played in episode 3 of Bare Egil Band, so I bought the record.

I’ve seen all 6 episodes (one more to go) of Bare Egil from the bands tour this autumn. Both Elin and I really did enjoy the music so I have spent a while this evening listening to the songs and at the same time creating playlists on Youtube.

• Episode 1 – Åndalsnes
• Episode 2 – Surnadal/Trondheim
• Episode 3 – Larvik/Stavanger
• Episode 4 – Lyngdal/Asker
• Episode 5 – Lørenskog/Lillehammer

Not going to the concert this evening, so instead buying the cd

Iver just loves Every Teardrop is a Waterfall and since OBS had it on sale I bought it.

Got introduced to Glen Campbell “A better place” by listening to Kvegpels, Kristopher Schau talked about Campbell and this song in particular. While listening to it, remember that Campbell has alzheimer.

I’ve tried and I have failed, Lord
I’ve won and I have lost
I’ve lived and I have loved, Lord
Some times, at such a cost

[Chorus:]
One thing I know
The world’s been good to me
A better place, awaits you’ll see

Some days I’m so confused, Lord
My past gets in my way
I need the ones I love, Lord
More and more each day

Oooh, a better place.

Then, Campbell has been playing with many well known artists such as Elvis, Beach Boys and off course Johnny Cash

Which leads me on to Cash and his fantastic cover of Hurt, the song by Nine Inch Nails

Just had to, have been heard them on the radio so many times so I started enjoying the music.
