Escape from boredom

Before changing the speakers in my car I thought that MP3 was the digital audio format that I would prefer for our entire cd collection. Last week, I was told that I should use lossless formats instead, but I did not care. But that was before yesterday. When out driving with the car listening to tracks on my Ipod I turned the volume all the way up to max without any problems. Somehow I was not pleased, I thought the sound…was a bit bad. But, then I switched to the cd-player…and whow!! So, now I have to delete all the MP3’s I have ripped, and instead use the FLAC-file format. You can read all about it here

Today we went to see Lars Tormod and his band Pillow playing at Den Gode Cafe. Even though I’ve quoted Anne Grethe Preus earlier, I must say that I enjoyed the concert.

This evening, Hellacopters live in concert yet again!!

But, it is in Stockholm, but I’m watching it live on MySpace…and it is coooooooool!!! I had to open a beer to fully enjoy the event…because it is rock’n roll!!!

Yesterday Anders, Espen, Loy, Bendik and I went to see the farewell concert to Hellacopters. Pure rock’n roll, very good concert I must say!! They got on stage, and immediately started playing. After four songs Nicke said “Tjena Norje!” (Hello Norway), then right on to the next song. How cool is that, no chitchat, just rock’n roll!!

…that I would be a fan of a band playing in the Junior Eurovision Contest, but The Blacksheeps is in fact cool, mostly due to the girl singing. Lydverket went to visit them, and recorded a video of them playing a cover version of Gold Lion by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Impressing, in my opinion she sings it even better live than Yeah Yeah Yeahs does. Make up your own opinion at Youtube
