Spend the weekend together with Elin in Riga. We went around shopping, ate good food at cosy places and just used the tram to travel around. Due to me being a bit lazy when reserving the hotel, we ended up at Hotel Bergs. A bit to expensive, but what the heck, we wanted a bit of luxury http://www.hotelbergs.lv/

John Dickie – Cosa Nostra
Read the book written by John Dickie about the Cosa Nostra. Quite interesting, a lot of names to remember, should really read it two times or more. Interesting reading, I recommend it, but do not expect it to be written in Hollywood style.

Greetings from Riga
In Riga now, the view from my hotel room. What am I doing here? Organizing the GSE Nordic WebSphere User Conference http://www.wsug-nordic.org starting tomorrow….

Congratulations Rune with your new bike!
I bought a new bike yesterday. I was wondering wether to buy a motor cycle or a new bike. I ended up with a new bike. Kona Kula Primo – bought at Bikes and Boards, Elin just loved to spend a couple of hours there yesterday 🙂 Read more about the bike here http://www.konabikes.co.uk/2k6bikes/kula_primo_2k6.php

Water-skiing on Saturday
Yesterday I was invited by my old colleague Helge from Bertel O. Steen to go water-skiing at Hurdalssjøen. That was plenty of fun – and belive it or not, not to cold either, not at least until I got back in my car. Had to increase the temprature up to 25 degrees for a while 🙂
Helge – he knows his way around on water-ski

For the second time in my life, and on only one ski!

A bit to reckless, and I took a dive…

Verdas mest forelska par
Yesterday we went to the theatre together with Trond and Charlotte, the celebrity (see picture). We went to see “Verdas mest forelska par” http://www.detnorsketeatret.no/netuser/repertoire/presentation.asp?pid=161 – had a good laugh!!

Accident at work
But not my work, when passing by outside Lysaker station this morning I saw the following, a mechanical digger hit by a large girder.

And another one. Someone has used all his luck this week.

Ever wanted to try a mechanical digger, a bulldozer and all that kinda stuff from Caterpillar and similar? Then you must plan your vacation to Baggerland in Germany http://www.baggerland.de/Baggerland
So far – but no longer
I was out with my bike yesterday. The plan was to only use the gravel roads, but when the road ends and the only possible way further is floodlit track I had no choice. At first the track was quite dry and ok to ride a bike on, but the further I went the more moor it was, and less dry track. It all ended like the picture shows. I pulled my bike up and kept on, impressing myself because even with water up to the pedals, the bike just went on and on. After about 500 meters or so I finally came to the road I thought I was riding on…
