Escape from boredom

Went to see Team Eckbo Show togheter with Elin, Anette and Dag Anders yesterday. We had a lot of fun, the show was good, not as good as I had hoped, but fun enough. The reason for not being all to happy about the show was that we had seen many of sketches before.

I was out eating lunch today with a guy I had not meet before. I took a picture of myself with my phone and send it to him as a MMS telling him this is how I look and I’m waiting outside the restaurant. A guy came, we shook hands, both saying something like “Hi, (whispering name)”. We went inside, got a table, I found him acting a bit strange, and I guess he thought I was an idiot for not having reserved a table. Same to you buddy was my thought. When at the table we started taking, he asked me “How long have you been working for First?” “First????” – “your name is Dag?” he said…

We had a laugh and went outside again 🙂

I did a search on the Internet here the other day, trying to figure out how to get hold of helium. I was hoping to make some fun at work, make the meetings a bit funnier. I found that http://www.aga.no is selling the magical stuff, so I sent an email, and this was the answer I got

Desperate for a snack in the evening, searching, we had nothing but eggs. Elin told me how to make eggnog, I made it. Elin loved it for one minute, then for the second she felt a bit sickness of it… I loved it, in lack of something else http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eggnog

Here are some pictures from this weekend, showing what we have done there the past two days.

Yesterday I put an old heap of spruce branches on fire. I had also cut some grass a cople of weeks ago which was on top of the heap. By using some oil and cardboard I put the whole thing on fire. As the two following pictures show, there where a lot of smoke!

Picture taken towards the neighbour at Sandjordet. They are going to cut down the huge maple any day now. It’s a bit sick, and since it the maple or the house, they prefer the house 🙂

There is a beaver in the small stream right close by. It has done a great deal of work making a dam, cutting down a lot of trees.

Today we tried to set the large pile of branches on fire. It did not catch fire in the start, after a while it seamed to have caught fire, but then again it just smoulderd. But what it lacked of flames it for sure compensated with smoke. On a bright and clear autumn day Vestreng was filled with smoke from our fire.

It was quite bad when we left 🙂
